It took me 2 hours to scan old newsletters
(sorry about the bad formatting) from the PC Information
Centre at E.D.P. Services. They give an interesting
insight about the work we were doing in the late 80s.
2016: due to some effup from my side some documents are
not availabel anymore. So, keep in mind: saving your
stuff is the most important thing after having them
written.
The
village boat proposal was really a novelty. Never
got implemented due to the untimely passing away of my
friend, Reg Dowell, the inventor behind the whole idea.
Have a good time, where ever you may be. I still think
it was one of the most ingenious ideas of the late 90s.

Not sure if
Oberon
was ever used in Fiji. But I remember that Prof. Niklaus
Wirth once said that he fails to understand why an
object-oriented operating system needs a kernel bigger
than 640KB.
