Studies" have been published. These
small booklets provide excellent background material about
Fiji. The articles and studies are done by academics
living in Fiji and abroad. It's a pity that
they got so much flak from Nationalists because of the word
"Fijian" in their name. |

The book cover for Dr. Brij
Lal's book "Girmitiyas - the origins of the Fiji
Indians". The design was originally intended for a
poster for the 125-year celebrations of the 'girmit'
(indentured labour) era in Fiji. Turned out that Doc
Brij liked the design and Tevita Antonio and myself used
it for his book. I also used the background picture for
the Fiji
Girmit website where some excerpts from the book can
be read. |
