The Kula Bird Park next to
the Hideaway Resort in Korotogo on the Coral Coast is
the only small zoo in Fiji. It's a beautiful lush
tropical garden with a variety of animals living in
Fiji. The parrot on Sitila's is called 'kula' in the
Fijian language.

Lucy, Robert's first guinea
pig. She was mauled on 23 November by one of the dogs of
the owner of "Tiko's", the famous restaurant
berthing in the Suva harbour. He even reimbursed us the
cost so we could buy a new one. Guinea pigs are hardly
sold in Fiji.

The Outrigger Hotel on
Waimanu Road in Suva offers rather lousy accommodation.
But the view from the bar is beautiful. The Walu Bay is
at the bottom right, while the Colo-i-Suva mountains are
at the back.
